From a letter dated 3-1-04: RE: Gluten Intolerance-Celiac Sprue To Whom It May Concern: There are no cereals, fillers, artificial colors or flavors used in manufacturing any of our Boars Head Brand meats. In addition, there are no vegetable gums, malts, wheat, rye, oats or barley used. For this reason, almost all of our products should be compatible with a gluten-free diet. However, there are a few Boar's Head Brand products that do contain gluten or that we have no guarantee are completely gluten free. For this reason please avoid the following items for a gluten free diet: (Boar's Head Brand) Olive Loaf Dutch Loaf Pickle and Pepper Loaf Hickory Smoked Pasteurized Process Gruyere Cheese Double Gloucester Cheese All Parmigiano and Romano Cheeses Grana Padano Cheese New York Style Cheese Cake
Mrs. Martin's New York Style Cheese Cake La Rosa D'Oro Stuffed Cherry Peppers Boar's head Pre-cooked Breakfast Sausage Patties (food service) B H Pre-cooked bacon (food service) B H Bulk Pre Sliced Pepperoni (food service)
All other Boar's Head Brand meats, cheeses and condiments are gluten free. Of course we encourage you to always read the labels, and check for any specific ingredients your doctor may want you to avoid.
